For the past 15 years, Amy and her team have been an incredible part of our annual guys’ ski trip. What started as a great experience has become one of the traditions we look forward to every year.
Amy consistently delivers amazing food, incredible service, and a completely stress-free experience. After a full day of skiing, there’s nothing better than coming back to a delicious, beautifully prepared meal without having to worry about cooking, cleanup, or making reservations.
Over the years, Amy and her team have become more than just our private chefs — they’ve become an important part of our trip. Their professionalism, consistency, and attention to detail are second to none, and somehow they continue to make each year feel special.
Fifteen years says it all. We wouldn’t think about doing our ski trip without Amy and her team. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for an exceptional private chef experience!

From our first contact with mediumRARE we were impressed. They instill confidence through their attention to detail and showed tremendous flexibility with our “high maintenance” group (food allergies, picky eaters and frequent menu/headcount changes). The meals were fantastic; Amy and staff arrived and had food plated on time, was perfectly prepared and the kitchen was left cleaner than how they received it. A perfect addition to our vacation, we hope to include Amy and
mediumRARE in our plans!

The Wasatch Mountains in Utah held Amy captive from when she was a mere babe. She sought to escape to other places to seek her fortune and brave adventure. Many years later she returned to her beloved mountains to ski and make merry with her friends and family. Good to be home (even in the sweltering heat of the summer months) Amy embarked on an entrepreneurial adventure of the culinary kind.
Amy’s cooking experience is beyond imagination. Her knack for seeking out unique culinary adventures has led her to the far reaches of the West. Heli-skiing in British Columbia, river running in Idaho, hiking in Colorado and mountain biking in the Southern Utah desert. She has been a private chef for professional athletes, famous actors, illustrious politicians, and rock and rollers.
Studying Japanese cuisine under sushi masters, slinging hash with big city chefs and having a superb instinct for fine food, Amy’s schooling in the culinary arts goes outside tradition.
In her spare time, she enjoys skiing powder, bicycle riding, traveling the world, downward dog and photography. She strives to become a ukulele master and write stories of her frothy experiences.
She lives with her cute little dog Pyka, in Sandy, Utah.
